*These boards are given by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). For more information about the standards of the NCCAOM, please visit www.nccaom.org. The standards for the practice of acupuncture vary from state to state. In many states, chiropractors, medical doctors, dentists, podiatrists and physical therapists are allowed to give acupuncture treatments to treat pain after taking a short, 40-hour, overview course. In using acupuncture needles without the proper training in Chinese Medicine, the effectiveness is questionable, and can often be quite painful.
Please get your treatment from a board certified practitioner of acupuncture.
